Marks Suffered Early Exit at ORP
07/25/2008 — Indianapolis, IN (07-25-2008) – Rookie driver Justin Marks saw his night shortened in Friday’s 200-lap race at O’Reilly Raceway Park. Marks qualified 18th but finished 30th after being involved in a caution at lap 154 which ended the race early for the Crocs Tundra. “Crocs, Toyota and the team deserved a better finish tonight from the Crocs Tundra. Unfortunately, the driver made a mistake on an unforgiving short track,” said Marks, of Rocklin, CA. Marks wasn’t the only member of the rookie class to find unfortunate run-in’s with the storied walls of O’Reilly Raceway Park. Four of the five Raybestos Rookie of the Year contenders tested the spin cycle and three finished 25th or worse. “The track was a lot of fun to drive. We were able to make some positive changes to the Crocs Tundra in practice and I think we had a decent truck for the race. I knew going in that this track was tough and I understand why it has earned its reputation. It’s easy to like the place, and easy to let it get the best of you,” said Marks. Next up for Marks and his crew is a one-week break in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series action followed by the high-speed action of Nashville Superspeedway. ###
