BIO
A self-proclaimed student and fan of NASCAR racing, Justin Marks first saw the famed Daytona 500 with is father eleven years ago. He knew at that time, that NASCAR racing was where he wanted to be, and his plan to get there involved competing against some of NASCARÍs toughest competitors in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Marks, who has earned seven Rolex Series victories and five Koni Challenge wins, will compete full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2008 and will campaign for Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors. Marks, who has shared primary sponsorship from Crocs, Inc. and Construct Corps, will be led by Jason Overstreet, a veteran of Truck Series competition.
In 2007, Marks competed in four NCTS races, with a best finish of 8th at the season finale Ford 200 in Homestead, FL. The top-ten finish gave Marks and crew chief Overstreet a strong foundation for the off-season planning, testing and development.
Marks is the latest Californian to enter the Truck Series circuit after cutting his teeth in racing on the west coast. After racing sports cars and serving as a factory driver in the Rolex Series, Marks started his transition to stock car racing. As a precursor to his Truck Series career, Marks competed full-time in ARCA RE/MAX Series. In 2007, he finished 5th in points and took the Kansas Speedway track qualifying record from Ryan Newman, earning his first ARCA RE/MAX career Pole award.
Building relations and being mindful of the marketing goals of sponsors and motor companies has helped Marks develop relationships that put him in position to fulfill his long-term goal of racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. When Marks fires up the Crocs/Construct Corps Tundra each race weekend, it is a result of hard work and strong relationships, and, for Marks, it is encouragement to stay his course and continue to ïstudyÍ the sport that has become his career, stock car racing, NASCAR-style.
